What is an electrical panel?
The electrical panel provides electricity to appliances in your home. Power from the utility company flows into the home through this panel, then branches out into major electrical branches, dwindling into smaller branches to distribute power. A properly functioning electrical panel is essential to the safety of your family and home.

I can evaluate the condition of your current panel to determine the best course for you. We work closely with RG&E to arrange service cut-off and turn on. We arrange for inspection as required. Generally a service upgrade is completed in one day; allowing for as little inconvenience to you and your family as possible.

Ceiling Fans
Several things to consider when installing a ceiling fan:
Is ceiling fan installed on a flat or sloped ceiling?
Height of ceiling to determine if flush mount or down rod is best.
New installation or replacing existing fixture?
Control for fan-wall switch, remote control, or pull string?
Access to fan-attic access, bedroom above, etc. . . .

Bath Fans
A properly vented bath fan can extend the life of your roof and eliminate moisture in your bathroom.
Many pre-existing bath fans were vented directly into the attic. This can cause problems down the road in many ways. Pilosi Electric can verify the fan is properly vented. Newer bath fans are very efficient and quiet; we recommend a high quality fan such as a Panasonic or Broan.
This is a good project to have done before cold weather hits and you are no longer able to keep that window cracked open.

Smoke/Carb Detectors
Pilosi Electric installs both hard wired and battery operated smoke detectors.
Hard wired smoke detectors go off at the same time, alerting everyone at the same time if there is a fire threat. They also come with back-up batteries in case of power failure.
Smoke detectors should be installed on every level including outside rooms where people sleep. Smoke alarms should be replaced with new units every 8-10 years.

Timers, Dimmers & Controls
We can provide the homeowner or business with wireless lighting. This is a great way to save money while being environmentally conscious. It is convenient and can provide a sense of security.
Three options we offer are:
Timers: Indoors or out can reduce energy use. Timers can be used to preset lamps, security lights, holiday lights in winter, and pool timers in summer.
Dimmers: Can create ambience for any space and is functional and efficient. Dimmers can be used in many rooms: living room, home theater room, bedroom, bathroom or office. Dimmers are a quick and easy way to change the visual presentation of your home.
Room Occupancy Sensors: Come on when motion is detected and turn off when motion stops. This can be used in storage rooms, the basement or bathroom.

We have used Pilosi Electric a number of times and have been extremely happy with the work of Chris and his team. Not only do they show up in a timely fashion, they make great suggestions and stand by their work 100%. We needed a new vent fan for our kitchen. Chris suggested a fan recessed light combination. We had never imagined such a thing existed. The fan worked well for about a year and a half and then stopped working. Chris came right over, trouble shot the problem, replaced the fan and fixed the issues that led to the failure of the first fan. Chris was at our house twice for a number of hours and there was no change for either the replacement fan or the new installation. Cannot imagine that any company could have done better. Chris has also installed ceiling fans and replaced our outdated wired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. We highly recommend Pilosi Electric. We would not use anyone else.
